Categories of Consumer Health Data We Collect and How We Use It

Jess Peterman LLC, doing business as Jess Peterman Travel, may collect consumer health data when it is relevant to travel services requested by a consumer.

The categories of consumer health data we may collect include:

  • Accessibility or mobility information, including information relating to requested wheelchair or mobility assistance;
  • Health conditions, symptoms, or physical limitations voluntarily disclosed because they affect requested travel arrangements;
  • Medically related allergy or dietary information;
  • Information relating to medical devices, oxygen, mobility devices, medication-related travel requirements, or other medical equipment when relevant to requested travel;
  • Information contained in special-assistance or accessibility forms required by a travel provider; and
  • Other health-related information voluntarily provided by or on behalf of a consumer because it is relevant to a requested travel service or accommodation.

We use this information to understand and fulfill requested travel arrangements, coordinate accessibility or special assistance, communicate relevant requirements to travel providers, and provide travel-related services requested by the consumer.

Categories of Sources of Consumer Health Data

Consumer health data may be collected from:

  • The consumer;
  • A parent, guardian, spouse, travel companion, or other person authorized to provide information on behalf of the consumer;
  • Our host agency or booking partners when the information relates to requested travel services; and
  • Airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, transportation companies, travel-assistance providers, or other travel suppliers when the information relates to travel or assistance requested by the consumer.

Categories of Consumer Health Data We Share

When reasonably necessary to provide travel services requested by a consumer, we may share:

  • Accessibility and mobility-assistance requirements;
  • Medically related allergy or dietary information;
  • Medical-equipment or special-assistance requirements; and
  • Other health-related information reasonably necessary for a requested travel service or accommodation.

Categories of Third Parties and Specific Affiliates With Whom We Share Consumer Health Data

Consumer health data may be shared, when reasonably necessary to provide requested travel services, with categories of third parties such as:

  • Airlines;
  • Cruise lines;
  • Hotels and resorts;
  • Tour operators;
  • Destination management companies;
  • Ground-transportation companies;
  • Travel-assistance or travel-insurance providers when applicable;
  • Our host agency and travel-booking providers where applicable to the requested service; and
  • Other travel suppliers providing an accommodation, service, or assistance requested by the consumer.

Jess Peterman LLC does not currently share consumer health data with any corporate affiliate.

Exercising Your Consumer Health Data Rights

Washington consumers may exercise rights provided under Washington’s My Health My Data Act, including the right to:

  • Confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling consumer health data concerning the consumer;
  • Access consumer health data;
  • Obtain information about third parties and affiliates with whom consumer health data has been shared or sold;
  • Withdraw consent to future collection or sharing where applicable;
  • Request deletion of consumer health data; and
  • Appeal a refusal to take action on a consumer-health-data request.
